Rustic Winter Weddings

Tuesday

Absolutely loving the new trend of winter weddings! Loving even more, the new trend of rustic winter weddings! We have a fantastic Rustic Winter wedding Pinterest board for you to check out for inspiration! Here are some elements to use to create a perfect Rustic Winter Wedding:

1. Plaid

Also known as tartan and sometimes people call it flannel (even though flannel is a fabric). Plaid in shades of red or green added as an accent pattern to your winter wedding will create a rustic feel.

2. Tree Stumps

Whether cut high for your ceremony backdrop and aisle or cut low for chargers and centerpieces; you cannot go wrong with tree stumps and firewood.

3. Pine Cones

Pine cones are inexpensive and easy to use as accent pieces. Try some in your centerpieces or in your bouquet. To make a big statement, try using the large sized pinecones.

4. Wreaths & Garland

Wreaths and garland have a great way of bringing nature inside. Try them in pine or fir for a rustic feel.

Rent the Runway

Brides, bridesmaids, and wedding guests: stop what you are doing! Have you heard of Rent the Runway? If you are familiar with them, then please go about your day. If you are not, then listen up!

Working in the event industry allows us to acquire lots of great knowledge and information that helps us help our brides make their dreams come true. Sometimes those big dreams come with a not so big budget and it is our job to give guidance and assistance. One of the more challenging areas we are faced with in the venue side of the wedding industry is fashion. While we are not there to oversee the decisions made for the brides and bridesmaid attire we do our best to guide our brides to the right place for purchases. Sometimes the cost of wedding gowns and bridesmaid dresses is overwhelming, and what's worse about the whole experience is that these dresses will probably be worn only once! So it is difficult to justify spending $600 on one of these gorgeous dresses. But a solution has been found!

Rent the Runway is an amazing designer clothing rental website! Not only does it rent out everyday attire, it also has a large special occasions dress section. Clothing ranges from size 0 to size 22 and starts at $30! Yes, you can rent a designer $550 dress for $30 :) The dresses are truly stunning and have real member reviews with photos. You can complete your look by renting designer jewelry and accessories as well. Check them out!
